Description
I believe this load-bearing character is based on Tevye
circa 1920s-40s vintage Japanese footed ceramic cachepot
which is applied on the surface of a woven bamboo or wood object
persisting underneath the array of cut marks
with the larger 3 7/8" tall and the shorter 2" tall
Tonala Mexican Folk Art Pottery Triple Vase or Candleholder with Smiling Face sculptural vessel I believe this load-bearing characterThis circa 1970s Mexican folk art triple vase or triple candleholder with the most beatific face I can imagine is unsigned, but comes I believe from the Tonala region in Jalisco and resembles the work of Carlos Villanueva. I love the handle for easy carrying from one spot to another, which only adds to the may the sunor moonshine on you wherever you go feeling of this piece. I think it would be especially great used as a bedside vase in a guest room,
